NEW FF100 UNIDIRECTIONAL CARBON RIM
The new wider rims, coupled with 28 mm tyres, are able to offer an uncompromising performance combination, in which aerodynamic penetration, rolling resistance and comfort find their best expression.
In fact, the average aerodynamic advantage, measured in the wind tunnel under headwind conditions, is 10% better than a rim with a 19mm internal channel.
Despite a higher profile, handling is also significantly improved. A specific research path conducted by Fulcrum has made it possible to define a formula that considers the energy dissipated by the wheel during a change of direction and the flexural deformation as a function of roll and inclination. The data obtained confirms that the handling of the new Speeds improves up to 17% compared to the previous generation.
The rim is made using resins and fibers made to Fulcrum specifications where, unlike the previous versions, a new composite mix of FF100 high modulus unidirectional fibers is used for the Speed 42 and 57. Thanks to numerous experiments, the perfect mix of fibers has been achieved, which combined with the correct positioning of the same and a very precise control of the resin, allows to obtain a product that works in the correct elastic range, guaranteeing performance characteristics at the top of the category and a sensation top guide.
TWO-TO-ONE SPOKES
For Speed 42 and 57, 24 flat aerodynamic spokes are used, specifically designed for this wheel and laced using the Two-to-One™ system, which provides for the doubling of the spokes in the areas subject to greater mechanical stress to avoid energy dispersion to counteract the force twisting.
The front wheel therefore has 16 spokes on the side of the disc and 8 on the other side, while the rear wheel is built in the opposite way to counteract the forces developed by the
transmission. This specific construction, combined with the perfect tensioning of the spokes, gives the wheel a torsional rigidity which allows for maximum transfer of energy
Force. Considering the flexural deformation and the torsional deformation as a function of the energies of translation, rolling and inclination, the new Speed improve up to +10% compared to the previous generation.
REDESIGNED HUB - USB BEARINGS
The reduction in the size of the hub is evident, which are respectively reduced by 40% on the flanges and 10% on the central body compared to the previous generation, in order to give the wheel greater resistance and less aerodynamic impact without compromising torsional rigidity.
The bearings used for Speed 42 and 57 are of the cone-cup type and provide for the use of the USB™ (Ceramic Ultra Smooth Bearings) system with ceramic balls, which guarantees unparalleled smoothness.
The hub system runs along its entire length on an aeronautical alloy aluminum axle, which allows the system to work with centesimal tolerances, guaranteeing performance and longevity.
Fulcrum wheels are created to respond to a very specific use and function, therefore they do not require the use of adapters or additional spacers with respect to the axle, as we often find in other products and this allows for a solid system that always works in a perfectly aligned.
The freewheel rack has been strengthened and enlarged and now houses 36 teeth. The wheel is available in configurations with Campagnolo N3W, Shimano HG and Sram XDR bodies.
Describing and listing all the technologies and product benefits of the new Speed 42 and Speed 57 requires a level of detail that is more difficult to summarize than we have attempted to do.
What we wanted to convey is the perfect driving sensation that these wheels offer. Lightness, Driveability, Aerodynamics and Reactivity have never been so well balanced thanks to the result of a perfect integration between form and function.

STREET FRONT DELIVERY
Please note that delivery takes place on the street, the recipient must therefore organize the receipt of the goods and their transfer to the destination premises. It is not currently possible to manage delivery to the floor or delivery by appointment, in case of specific needs, contact us before purchasing.

It is advisable to keep the bike box for a possible return. Delivery times for complete bicycles may be longer than usual due to assembly, registration, testing and adequate packaging.

Shipping takes place approximately within 24/48 working hours from the payment of the order. The orders with the fastest delivery are those made with online payment PayPal and Credit Cards. For orders with deferred payment, such as bank transfer, the shipping date may vary by a few days, as these orders are processed upon receipt of payment confirmation.
