Ultra lightness
The distinctive feature of Wilier 0 SLR is the lightness of the frame: with 780 grams for the M size in the matt black version, Wilier 0 SLR is at the top of the range of super-light Wilier Triestina frames. In fact, with the top setup, the complete bike stops the scale at 6.5 KG.
Total integration
Among the trends most appreciated by the general public is the search for maximum aesthetic cleanliness. Already in 2016 with Cento10AIR, we began to follow this path (among the first manufacturers in the world), inserting the brake and control cables inside the monocoque handlebar integrated into the frame. Wilier 0 SLR enhances this feature even more because total integration is associated with a record weight of frame, fork and handlebar. The various elements that allow integration have been re-engineered and evolved: the integrated 0 handlebar, the handlebar spacers in composite material, the section of the frame's head tube.
Easy-fit spacers
The spacers between the frame's head tube and the handlebars are made of high-rigidity composite material, with a special cavity dedicated to the passage of cables. They are composed of two parts so as to allow rapid assembly and disassembly, without interfering with the cables that run between the handlebars and the frame.
Stiffness to weight
In carbon frames, high STW values (acronym for Stiffness to Weight, the ratio between the stiffness values and the weight of the frame) are synonymous with performance; usually, to have a stiff frame, material is added, thus increasing its weight. Conversely, if the goal is to reduce weight, there is the risk of compromising stiffness and consequently handling and riding safety.
On the Wilier 0 SLR, thanks to the carbon mix used, the particular positioning of the fibres and the construction technology, we have managed to achieve an absolute level of lightness and rigidity, improving the STW value of the previous Zero.7 and Zero.6 models by 24%.
Seatpost and fixing
For Wilier 0 SLR, a monocoque carbon seatpost with a proprietary Wilier Triestina design has been created. With a slim shape, it recalls the truncated tail profiles of the aerodynamic Filante SLR model. Available in two geometries: 0mm and 15mm setback, compatible with Ritchey 1-Bolt saddle fixing. The fixing to the frame occurs via an expander housed inside the horizontal tube.
Asymmetry becomes solution
The transmission of power to the rear wheel must not suffer dispersions that cause a loss of pedaling efficiency. To meet this requirement, the rear triangle has been designed asymmetrically, with the left chain stay slightly more inclined upwards than the right one. This measure helps to avoid lateral skidding due to the force applied by the cyclist on the chain, making asymmetry a solution.
Speed release thru axles
These pins allow for quick removal of the wheel from the frame without having to completely remove the pin from the wheel hub. This solution significantly reduces wheel removal and housing times. In a race, a wheel change saves an average of 7 seconds compared to a traditional thru-axle. The choice of the Speed Release pin was also made with a view to saving weight (only 85 grams per pair) and safeguarding the integrity of the frame.
ULTRA LIGHTNESS

STREET FRONT DELIVERY
