Mégamo in its inception or Megamo today, began its steps in 1987, establishing its base in Girona. Soon it began to make itself known thanks to its successes in top-level biketrial and MTB races in the 90s, becoming the benchmark and precursor of MTB in Europe.

Quality, design and technological innovation at highly competitive prices have been the prerequisites of Megamo since its inception until today.

MEGAMO FREEDOM
2000 / 2010

Year focused on the competition for the development of bicycles, we launched the legendary MEGAMO LIBERTO team, a precursor of MTB in Spain and Europe, which brought together the Spanish champion Juan Carlos Garro, the brothers Oscar and Lluís García, Miquel Campasol, Pau Bartoló and Eduard Ayats among many others. The world champion Margarita Fullana also joined this team.

Megamo Liberto has focused on the domestic calendar and European World Cup events, across all styles, winning countless trophies in his wake.

PASSION FOR CYCLING
2000 / 2010

After the great success in the competition, we decided to gradually expand our range to be a brand that includes all types of cyclists. From our first full suspension bike, the Top Rally, to the first carbon bikes. Always thinking about promoting cycling at all levels.

MEGAMO UCI FACTORY TEAM
2011 / 2019

All the design and development of our models is done in our Technical Office together with our race teams. The MEGAMO UCI FACTORY TEAM, has allowed us to improve a lot and at the same time to satisfy the latest market trends through an exhaustive and detail-oriented methodology.

A clear example of our commitment to competition and development was our participation in the first UCI E-BIKE championship, the World E-bike Series. In MTB, we achieved important victories such as Salamina 2020 or Titan Desert 2020.

2021 / CURRENTLY

With the aim of continuing to link the brand to competition and adventure, a new project is born: the BUFF®-MEGAMO Team.

It is a team mainly focused on Marathon Mountain Bike Races (XCM) and has already participated in the most prestigious international stage races, such as the Cape Epic, the Andalucia Bike Race or the 4 Islands.

The desire of both brands to take a step forward in their trajectory and expand worldwide has led to this MTB team that in any case does not close the doors to other cycling disciplines such as XCO, Gravel or Road in the future. The team is made up of 8 bikers and the technical staff, among which we find 6 different nationalities.

Both Megamo and BUFF® share certain values that will be essential to achieve our goals. We are confident that the team will provide us with exciting races and great triumphs and show the world the capabilities of our product.

We want to be a team that inspires people to spend more time outdoors enjoying cycling and the outdoors.
